Builder at the
intersection of
tech & community

I'm Steve Bezner — most call me Bez. I'm a senior technology leader and civic-tech builder based in northwest Houston.

I work where enterprise software, AI automation, and community tools converge — believing the most interesting problems sit exactly at that intersection.

My philosophy: static-first, lightweight, API-driven, civic-minded. Build tools that work, ship openly, measure what matters.

How I think

"What got us here today won't get us there tomorrow."

I believe the most durable organizations are built on trust, not process. Small autonomous teams — empowered, accountable, passionate — outperform bureaucratic ones every time. I'm always in requirement mode: building pipelines of great talent, exploring new technology, and creating space for people to do their best work.

Trust over process
Give teams the space and authority to accomplish great things without overbearing oversight.
Always in requirement mode
Continuously building a pipeline of great talent and diverse perspectives — even when you're not hiring.
Static-first, civic-minded
Build tools that work, ship openly, keep it lightweight. The best civic tech is invisible infrastructure.
